Hearing Difficulty Headsets
Background noise can be difficult for all of us but especially for those people that need to wear a hearing aid. Increasing the volume in a headset or handset will also increase the noise. The solution for many is to use a headset with an inductive coupler fitted internally. JPL’s HAC-1 and HAC-2 headsets include an inbuilt coil to assist those that have hearing difficulty.
How does a hearing loop/coil or inductive coupler work?
A hearing loop (sometimes called an inductive coupler) is a special type of sound system for use by people with hearing aids. The hearing loop provides a magnetic, wireless signal that is picked up by the hearing aid when it is set to ‘T’ (Telecoil) setting. Remember, when choosing headsets please check the compatibility with your particular phone handset.
